Problems About Jupiter

The problem on my planet Jupiter is that there is too much storms. If you were to land on Jupiter the thing is that you can’t . If you want to know why you can’t land on Jupiter , It’s because it is a gas giant. Planets with gas has no ground which means that you will just sink.

If you wanted to walk on Jupiter what would you do , because it has no ground.I think that road men should build concrete over the gas so people can’t sink. It is a good idea because you don’t want to stay at home all day doing nothing.

You would need a lot of water too live on Jupiter. Water is very important because if you run around to much, when you breathe in and out you are actually breathing out all the water you drank. So to fix the problem I think we should have robots carrying tanks to Jupiter.

My favourite solution for me is air because with out air none of us would be alive. If we were to fix this problem , there should be a pipe connected to every house and if the kids wanted to play outside they should have a big tank of air attached to there nose.

I think that if we lived on Jupiter It would not be that frustrating to live on . All it needs is a few things to do and you will have a planet to live on just like earth.

Netbook Reflection

Most definitely the best thing I have had since my netbook came to my class is that we make a lot of movies and I can post a lot of my writing on my blog. It has been a big difference for me is that it is easier to write and easy to do math because we have two programs which helps us with math.

As much as I have loved having a Netbook there are some things that I haven’t liked about Internet problems. I don’t like it how I turn on my netbook and the mouse doesnt work because I always have to restart it. This happens nearly everyday it is how the kids in our class get on to the Internet and others don’t . It is always frustrating for my class and even my teacher to get on the Internet.

I think this year I have been Cyber Smart most of the time. It has been very difficult using my netbook because when I first got it I always played online games. But I’ve managed to not get distracted and to do the right thing. The netbook has been a big diffrence in my life .

It would be very sad for people and they would be so angry. If the netbooks failed I would just carry on.

King Kong and Slug

King Kong.
Stupid King Kong knowingly embarrassed himself.

Knowingly, stupid King Kong embarrassed himself.

Embarrassing his mother knowingly, stupid King Kong felt guilty.

As stupid King Kong farted in the audience he knowingly embarrassed himself.

SLUG
The creepy slug attempted to jump unfortunately he had no legs.

Attempting to win the race the creepy slug unfortunately was to slow.

Unfortunately the creepy slug attempted to dance, yet failed.

Creepy slugs attempt everything,  unfortunately they always die in the end.

One Tree Hill Stardome 50 word story

“Run run” I shouted sprinting down the hills nearly tripping over.Slipping and sliding on the the mud I was close to stepping on sheep poo. Would you like step in poo? Girls screamed, boys tumbled. I had a very interesting day today. Happiness surrounded me as I left stardome.

Ice Cream Comets

Looking at the food that was on the table I wondered what we were going to do. As Miss King told us that we were going to make comets out of ice cream and biscuits a lot of people were very excited.

If you would like to make a comet you will need ice cream, crunched up biscuits and a cone. So you would put the sprinkles in your hands and put the ice cream in your hands too. don’t forget to roll the ice cream up , then smash the cone on.

As we ran outside and sat down in our groups, I just wanted to grab the food and eat it , but I wasn’t allowed. When the group Outer Space got theire turn to make ice cream comets, I kind of got jealous because it looked so delicious.
Walking up to get my turn Miss King put a scoop of ice cream in to my hands, it felt cold as it dripped through my fingers. As I went to Whaea Janeille to get my cone, she smashed it on my hands.

It was so gross because I had to put the ice cream on my cone with my hands leaving a sticky mess on my fingers. Licking the ice cream comet it melted very fast. I just put the whole thing into my mouth and chewed it until it was crushed in to small pieces.

My class enjoyed that afternoon for sure. It is a really fun thing to make at home.

Immersion Assembly

When I sat down in assembly I looked at the stage to see what was our theme for term 4. Suddenly planets from space appeared up on the screen. When I saw the theme it said Outter This World. I already knew that this term is going to be fun.

As Mr Burt introduced our topic to our school he told us a story from years ago. The story was about Maui and how his great grandmother gave him a hook to use to catch a big fish. People say that you can see the hook at night in the stars.

The teachers dressed up crazy in a lot of costumes. I really liked team fives costumes because they looked like real aliens. There short video that we watched was funny because they pretended that they were in star wars.

I had really fun in immersion assembly and I’m looking forwardhttps://picasaweb.google.com/103288051193664741091/ImmersionAssemblyTerm42011?authuser=0&feat=directlink to this term. I hope next years theme is going to be crazy like science.

Rocket Launch

Waiting nervously in my chair, I felt scared. This was the first time I was going to space.
This is a risky thing to do - the boosters might explode.
Soon the rocket would be far away from earth.

Ready for launch I put on my belt waiting for the launch. Suddenly they called that they were ready for the lift off. As Mission Control counted down from ten I can already feel butterflies in my stomach.

Holding tight onto my chair, I felt my stomach shake and shudder. Igniting the
boosters, we were at full speed. The boosters were so loud that it was the only
thing I can hear.

Finally reaching space, I felt really good because I saw the bright stars and all the planets- even earth. This amazing experience showed me how small our world is.

Term 3 Reflection

I enjoyed playing sports this term and going on Math Whizz because it was new to my class. I didn't like writing too because I’m not that good at it, I kind of hate maths too. It was fun playing badminton this term because I’ve never played it before.

This term wasn't that bad because I thought Athletics was coming up but it was in term 4.The thing I found interesting was the production because it is fun if your involved. I could of did a bit better but I’m still happy.

Warriors VS Manly Sea Eagles

As the mighty warriors league team were about to play manly sea eagles they were not confident that they were going to win the grand final. It was a hard challenge for the warriors. As the stadium got full the people were all dressed up in black and cheering for the warriors.

When the game started it felt like this was the last game of league. As James Maloney kicked a drop goal all you could see and hear was people screaming warriors wearing black. With a lot excitement the manly sea eagles got a runaway try.

The warriors made a lot of mistakes suddenly Manu Vatu Vai made the first try for the mighty warriors. It was a interesting game for me. They did a lot of little mistakes which is why they struggled and lost there game.

Sonny Bill Williams

SBW was so excited to play against France . Side stepping and dodging one by one he was near the try line. It was like feeding at the zoo. Accurately diving for the try the crowd were cheering wildly. What a win for the All Blacks .

Making Alfajorcitos

Que’ rico que son los alfajorcitos. Muy delicioso. I was so excited when Miss King told us that we were going to do something yummy because I love yum food. As Miss King showed us what we were going to taste it smelt very nice and looked like caramel.

Alfajorcitos is a very popular snack in Argentina and it has got a nice taste. You can make it by buying condensed milk and boiling it for three hours. After that you put it in the freezer until it turns brown.

Waiting for the alfajorcitos to come around I was dieing to have a taste. It was really sticky and goey as I spread the it over my yummy biscuit. As I gobbled it all in my mouth it gave a crack and made crums.

It was a very good experience to taste something that we’ve never tasted before. Now I can make these yummy snacks at home.

Aussie Rules

Walking on the field to play Aussie Rules with my class and room 19 we saw Megan and Alysa waiting for us. We were just warming up for the stuff that we were going to do.

The weather was cold and hot at the same time as we warmed up. Our weather in one day is like winter then spring after that it would be like summer. It was a very blustery day as Megan was teaching us how to bounce the ball while walking.

Our warm up skill was playing a game which you would have to jump on one foot and try and knock over your partner. Bumping jabez off I got knocked over and fell on the mud. Finishing our warm up we both slipped over.

We got to play a game which was very similar to baseball but the thing was we had to kick the football. When it was my turn I kicked the ball so high that Gloria caught it. The line was so long that I nearly didn’t get a turn because it was taking too long .

Finally I got to field. It was very frustrating because Sosaia and I were both trying to catch the ball, when suddenly I ran into him by accident and he fell over. A lot of people were angry at me mostly boys , but I just told them that it was just a game. It was a very close game but I knew that my team had won.

It was fun and I learnt how to bounce the ball straight. I felt really good as we walked back to class.

Black Out Day

It was with a lot of excitement that I didn't get dressed in my uniform this morning because it was black out day for my school. There was going to be a sausage sizzle on as well. We wore black to show our support for the All Blacks on the opening day of the Rugby World Cup.

Running down the footpath shouted to my friend “Where are you going?” . A lot of people were wearing black clothes. As coins jingled in my pocket as I bounced about excitedly - I was going to buy a sausage for my lunch.

Arriving at school, I noticed, to my surprise, that even the teachers were wearing black. Miss Tito and Miss Va’afusuaga had black wigs on and even had their face painted. I thought to myself that today was going to be cool.

At assembly Mr Burt kept telling stories about the times when he was at rugby games and he was not wearing his hat. Mr Burt’s stories are very interesting and he is a great storyteller. Mabye he might write a book one day.

In our classroom we painted some All Black players so we can hang it in our room. We had to trace around a small person then go and paint the picture that we traced. Finishing painting we went inside to add more detail to it with crayons.

After morning tea team four all went to the courts to play some rugby games . The sun was shining and the sevens boys had set up some fun looking activities for us . I was in team Namibia.

Tackling the bags I got the hardest hit for bumping it off. As Feki did a example for the activity that we were going to do it looked very hard. When that finished we went to the next two boys which were doing kicking. It was fun and my team came third.

I ate my sausage at lunchtime under the of trees - it felt like summertime.

I had such a great black out day and I really hope that the All Blacks can win tonight. My brother is supporting Tonga, but I don’t know if they will win.

Cross Country

As I walked to the ten year old cross country boys row I was eagerly awaiting to start the race. There were so much boys that I and Rocky were all the way at the back. Waiting for a long time the little kids all ready started there race.

I felt really nervous as I was sitting on the court which was warm. I really thought I was going to become at the back of the race. I was so lucky that I did not come at the back of the pack because I wasn't aiming for that position.

Walking to the start line I burst like a bolt of fire trying to not come last. Slowing down half way of the track my heart was pounding thinking that this will never end.
Exhausted and drained my lungs were burning unable to continue.

Finishing the race I was tired and happy at the same time, because at least I finished the cross country. As I got closer to the end I collapsed like stacks of blocks that got blown by the wind.

It was so cool but I was sad because I wasn't near the all the people that were coming first. But anyway I might beat them next year.

Manu Samoa Rugby Team

As I reached the Airport I was cold and it was taking a long time for the Manu Samoa Rugby Team to arrive. I was so cold that I just went and sat down at the Mc Donald's because the Manu Samoa were arriving on a stage outside. When they were on the stage all ready I got up and ran to see my dads favorite player which was number 7.

When I saw my mum and my sisters I wondered where my dad was because I didn't see him since he went and parked our car. So I went and looked for him and I saw him with my uncle. While I was next to them I got bored,so I went and painted my face. When I finish painting my face I went to my dad , but the weird thing was that my dad did not recognize me.

After it finished my dad went to the bus and tried to take pictures of his favorite player. My mum and I went and looked for my dad because we were lost because my dad and my sisters ran off. So I went and sat down waiting for my dad and my sisters to come. At last we saw them, I ran to the car so I can beep the horn because thats what all the other cars were doing.

As soon as the beep went I jogged to the cones and back until we’ll get terrified by this beep test. A lot of people didn't do that well because it was some hard work, but it was a little bit difficult for me because I wanted to finish at level 15 but I got really tired so I dropped out. My level for the beep test was 11.0 but my goal for next time is 13.4, I hope I can get even better than 13.4.

Healthy Foods

So our body can grow we would have to eat foods that are healthy.A lot of our bodies can be healthy by eating foods, so that our brain can work and learn. Kids have to be healthy by eating a variety of different foods a day.

Our healthy diet has four main food groups which are Bread and Cereals, Fruits, Veges,Milk and Dairy Products,Meat and Fish. Fats and sugar must be eaten everyday but only in small amounts. The bests drinks for children are water and milk because juices and fizzy drink are too strong for kids.

So eat right and live so you won’t get through a lot of hard excising. Eat essential nutrients and have balanced and healthy diet.

Badminton

For people who don’t know what badminton is, it is a sport like tennis but it’s a shuttle they play with. Donna who was in charge of badminton came from Sport Auckland and she was going to be our teacher I think! Donna is very famous because she played for the Olympics.

After having a play around We played badminton soccer with a friend.Hitting the shuttle with a powerful hit, it flew like a bird to the opposition side. With great hand eye coordination and quick body movements, I served accurately to my partner.

I was so excited when Donna told us that we were going to play the real badminton. As I watched the other people they looked frustrated. But when I got in I stayed on for long because no one would hit the shuttle to me so I just waited until I got out, finally I got out.

It was spectacular fun I hope I went everyday.

Foot Washing Machine

What was the problem and how did you fix it? There was a problem at our school which were the fields, it was always muddy and we had to fix it. So we are trying to build a foot washing machine so that when we're muddy we can wash our feet. We chose this project because we are trying to make a difference about our dirty legs. We’re trying to make our fields better by putting a sign saying the fields are closed.
We
are inventing a foot washing machine because we have muddy fields and
every one has dirty feet. We’re just making a diorama to show the things
where we want to put it. When we do finish we just have to give it to
the asocial principle and he will pay the money to get all the stuff
that we need.

Motat trip

Walking into the place where we were staying I was so excited that I wanted to run off but I was not allowed. As we finish eating our morning tea me and my class strolled off to a room to learn about inventions. It was really cool there because we played with a camera which was called a Browne. Me and my class ran out of the room running to the places they wanted to go to.

Jogging to the mirror maze I asked my teacher if my group can go inside, it was really funny because Gloria nearly knocked me over. My favorite thing was the tack tile dark dome because it was scary and we didn't know we were going. It was kind of stink because I went with girls. Finishing and coming out of the dark dome I felt good coming out with a smile. After we finished that we went to look around for a little bit. Running into the bus happiness surrounded me.

Mr and Mrs Twit

As Mrs Twit and Mr Twit were going to get each of themselves guns, they told their circus monkeys to be on their head’s, upside down. Once the Twit’s left, the monkeys got up and said to their friend the Roly-Poly bird to get the key that was in Mr Twits garage.
Running out of the cage, Muggle-Wump told all of the birds on the roof to go inside the house and paint the whole ceiling with sticky glue so that they could put all the furniture on the ceiling. Walking back into their house, Mr and Mrs Twit felt something drop on to their heads. They thought it was bird pooh, but it was super Hugtight glue. When they saw that everything was up on the ceiling they both decided to stand on their heads. The Twits were now stuck there forever.

The Big Freindly Giant

Looking for frobscottle in the enormous cave the BFG placed Sophie on the table. ‘’Ha ha ha ha ha’’ said the BFG as he found the frobscottle , placing it next to Sophie. Feeling jolly excited, he exclaimed “The bubbles go down to make WHIZZPOPPING’’ The BFG looked as if he was in a Frobscottle drinking competition.
“But where I come from the bubbles from our drinks go up to make a burp and besides it is fun.” Said Sophie, wondering if she was going to do a whizzpop after taking just a wee sip.

Back To The Future

Reversing out of the driveway, the tyres started screeching. ‘’Hey Doc we don’t have enough road to get to 88’’ said Marty nervously. As Marty was thinking about Doc it looked on his face that he was scared. Not knowing what is going on Jennifer did not look very sure about the two crazy scientists. ‘’Roads where we’re going we don’t need roads’’ suggested Doc. Putting on his funky glasses they started to take off. BAM!!!!! they took off with a ball of fire.

In 1826 a man who lived in France took the first photograph and his film was made out of metal coated with bitumen. As twelve years passed a man called Jacques Daguerre built a camera. His pictures could be developed with chemicals and used a copper plate coated in silver.

In 1888 an American man called George Eastman improved on a camera and his camera uses a celluloid film.In 1900 a very small box camera called the brownie was invented by Eastman Kodak Company. From 1920 better and more expensive cameras with lenses were made in Germany. Now most of the cameras are now made in Japan.

As we rolled the marble down the card board we were hopping that it could work but it got stuck and it didn't bust down the dominoes. My group always had to tweak our Rube Gold Berg machine and we did not have good ideas but finally we got somthing done.

What an Ambush

The important things about paragraphs is that the sentences have to have a variety of begennings. We got the sentence beginnings from Toreka's story called ''What an Ambush''

Straw Tower

On the first day of term 2 it was so exciting because we were going back to school. The first thing we did was look at people making towers out of straws, weItem Thumbnail alwayItem Thumbnails have to stick the tape to the straws and connect it until it has become BIGGER.

As we were making our tower out of the material and my friend Levi that was suppose to be helping us he was taking photos of peoples towers. we had many great ideas but the only problem was that we could not do it because all of our challenging ideas were too hard. At last the time was up and we all took our towers to the table, guess who won. It was my team.
